A CLOSER LOOK
Each gift begins with your goals. These brief overviews can help you prepare for a conversation with the people who know your plans best.
A bequest is among the most flexible ways to make a lasting gift. You retain control of your assets throughout your lifetime and may revise your plans if circumstances change.
For eligible donors, a qualified charitable distribution can move funds directly from an IRA to Shrine Mont. Retirement accounts may also be used for a future gift through a beneficiary designation.
Many accounts and policies pass outside a will. Your provider can supply a beneficiary form that lets you name Shrine Mont for a percentage or the full balance.
Recommend a grant to Shrine Mont from your donor-advised fund. You may also be able to name Shrine Mont as a charitable successor or include the organization in a family legacy plan.
A charitable gift annuity exchanges a gift of cash or appreciated property for fixed payments to one or two people for life. Charitable trusts may offer other ways to combine generosity, income, and family planning.
The right asset can matter as much as the amount. Appreciated property may offer planning advantages that are not available with a cash gift.
